Laurie Holden discusses ‘Walking Dead’ future
The show, which launched on AMC last year, was created by Frank Darabont as an adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s original comic book series.
Holden, who plays Andrea, claimed that fans shouldn’t expect the series to move forward too quickly, due to the sheer amount of source material that they are trying to cover.
“I know we’re going to get to Hershel’s Farm in season two,” Holden confirmed, during an IGN-moderated question and answer session at this weekend’s C2E2 Expo. “I don’t think we’re going to get to the prison in season two, because there’s too much to do.”
However, Holden did mention a rumour that began circulating recently about Stephen King’s potential involvement with the series.
“I heard a rumour that Stephen King’s going to write [an episode],” Holden told the crowd to much applause.
Original series writer and executive producer of the show Robert Kirkman recently confirmed that Holden’s character Andrea will feature more in the new season, although the actress has already ruled out a potential romance with Jeffrey DeMunn’s character Dale.
Season two of
the walking dead
resumes filming on June 1, and will return on AMC this fall.
